As a payroll administrator / specialist you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with company deadlines and statutory regulations with a strong focus on customer service. Take ownership and accountability for your allocation of clients. Work as “One SMB Team” with other departments and divisions both onshore & offshore.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, manage and deliver payroll services to a portfolio of customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing in accordance with agreed payroll schedules, company procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for complex payroll queries, providing guidance and support to customers and colleagues.
- Collaborate with global processing teams and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll queries, manage escalations, and ensure service delivery objectives are achieved.
- Investigate, analyse and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Process, validate and reconcile payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and submissions to the Revenue Commissioners in accordance with current legislation.
- Maintain and manage complex payroll data and payroll-related actions within payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and compliance.
- Generate, analyse and distribute payroll reports, reconciliations and customer documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform payroll audits and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with internal controls, payroll procedures and statutory obligations.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts, payments and deductions, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Support year-end payroll activities, including statutory reporting, reconciliations and compliance submissions.
- Maintain, review and update payroll procedures, process documentation and key control documents to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and customer experience, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide coaching, guidance and knowledge sharing to Payroll Administrators and other team members, supporting the development of payroll expertise across the team.
- Support payroll projects, customer implementations, system changes and service improvement initiatives as required.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and processing teams to deliver a high-quality payroll service
