Job Title: Production Operative with wood production experience
Location: Avonmouth, Bristol
Salary: £28,000 + Generous Overtime
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a growing, forward-thinking client in Avonmouth who is looking for a skilled, hands-on Case Maker to join their team. What You'll Be Doing
You'll be building bespoke timber crates and preparing goods for shipment, ensuring every item is packed securely to withstand the rigours of global transport-lifting, handling, shipping, and storage.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Constructing cases with correct bracing and packing goods to customer specifications
Applying accurate markings-weights, lift points, directional arrows, and temperature controls
Ensuring heat-treated timber is correctly stamped and documented
Maintaining your tools and workspace to a high standard
Working collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules without compromising on quality
Adhering to all safety and security regulations, including airline compliance
About You
You don't need a formal qualification, but you do need a solid work ethic and a keen eye for detail. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craft.
You'll bring:
