We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our experienced nursing team within our Complex Nursing Unit. Working alongside other Registered Nurses and supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the unit whilst delivering exceptional care to residents with complex clinical conditions.

About Our Complex Nursing Unit
Our Complex Nursing Unit supports residents with a wide range of complex and long-term healthcare needs, including:
- Motor Neurone Disease (MND)
- Tracheostomy care and management
- Mechanical ventilation
- Acquired brain injuries
- Complex neurological conditions
- Spinal injuries
- PEG feeding and enteral nutrition
- Complex respiratory conditions
- Palliative and end-of-life care

The Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide the highest standards of nursing care and support in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as the professional standards required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering safe, effective and person-centred nursing care
- Undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments
- Developing, implementing and reviewing care plans
- Administering and managing medications safely and effectively
- Supporting residents with complex clinical interventions
- Managing PEG feeding regimes
- Supporting residents requiring tracheostomy care and mechanical ventilation
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
- Supporting and guiding care staff within the nursing unit
- Working collaboratively with GPs, community teams and other healthcare professionals
- Promoting best practice and ensuring compliance with CQC and NMC standards

Essential Requirements
- Current NMC Registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Excellent clinical and assessment skills
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive care plans
- Competence in medication administration and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in accordance with NMC guidelines and professional standards
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Hardworking, flexible and adaptable approach
Desirable Experience
- Minimum six months' acute care or hospital experience (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience supporting individuals with complex respiratory needs
- Experience of tracheostomy care, PEG feeding or mechanical ventilation
- Full UK driving licence
Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the successful candidate.
