The role of a Care Worker is vital in providing compassionate and dedicated support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to assist clients with specific needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition or behaviour.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
Skills
- Experience in patient care or childcare is essential for understanding client needs.
- Proficiency in meal preparation that meets dietary requirements is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform first aid when required and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
