The Head of People Services is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the development, delivery and continuous improvement of People Services across the Provide Group.
Reporting to the Director, People Partnering - Enterprise and forming part of the People Directorate Leadership Team, the post holder will provide strategic leadership for workforce systems, workforce
information and analytics, workforce planning, payroll, pensions and employee benefits.
The role is responsible for handling highly sensitive data, and is pivotal in ensuring the organisation has accurate workforce data, effective people systems and insightful reporting to support decision making, organisational performance and future workforce requirements.
The post holder will lead the development and optimisation of people systems, ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance and the effective use of technology to improve service delivery and enhance the employee experience. They will also be responsible for managing key external contracts and supplier relationships relating to payroll, pensions, benefits and workforce systems.
As a subject matter expert, the Head of People Services will provide strategic advice, guidance and assurance to senior leaders, Chief People Officer and Committees on workforce information, people
systems, pensions, reward and workforce planning matters.
Lead the strategic development, governance and optimisation of workforce systems including ESR, Oracle Learning Management System (OLM), EASY, Access, HealthRoster (Allocate) and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure workforce information is accurate, secure, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Establish robust data quality controls and oversee the ongoing maintenance and development of workforce systems.
- Produce and oversee monthly, annual and ad hoc workforce reports, dashboards and analytics
for the Chief People Officer, Committees and senior leaders.
- Ensure all statutory, contractual and national workforce returns are completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Lead the production of workforce metrics and trend analysis, including vacancy rates, turnover, sickness absence, establishment management and workforce planning data.
- Promote the use of workforce intelligence and business intelligence reporting across the organisation.
- Identify and champion opportunities for innovation and digital transformation within People Services.
