We are The Home Building & Surveying company based in Boscombe, Dorset. We specialise in damp proofing, wall coatings and building remedial works. We have an extensive network across the UK and carry out projects ranging from small domestic houses to large commercial properties.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an Office administrator & customer services to help run the day-to-day delivery of our customer services and internal processes based from our Boscombe based office.
What are the key responsibilities?
Reporting to office Admin manager;
- Taking inbound phone calls and dealing with customer enquiries or directing/transferring calls.
- Managing the main email inbox account and responding to customers or re-directing emails.
- General ad hoc tasks (e.g. supporting with marketing or office admin) to help the smooth running of the business.
- To support the sales teams by creating and sending quotations from templates and full survey reports on Adbobe PDF editor, Microsoft word importing photographs from surveyors etc so good basic computer skills are required.
- Reviewing and proof reading work to a high standard.
- Creating and sending our customers guarantee paperwork from templates.
- Sending out letters/emails.
- Support the overall office, sales & marketing team
Is there any specific experience, skills or qualifications needed?
All the necessary training will be given on the systems needed to fulfil these tasks but there are some upfront skills that will be required to fit the role:
- Good problem-solving skills – being able to spot issues, resolving with admin processes or talk to the relevant people to solve them.
- Good writing and communication skills - Being able to respond to a query and clearly articulate the problem and solution both within the company and with customers.
- Is IT competent and confident. Word, Excel and Email using various different platforms are essential.
- Time and project management – Being able to juggle a number of contacts and tasks simultaneously, prioritising the most urgent and keeping track of what needs to be done that day, ensuring that things are checked off and if not completed the same day reverted back to the day after.
- Customer services skills and complaint handling skills is a must for the occasional difficult customer.
- Attention to detail and accuracy– Making sure that what you do has been checked thoroughly and it’s correct before sending.
