Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 360 excavator operator to join our construction team for a project starting in Benwell. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with excavation, site preparation, and other related tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and safe operating procedures to ensure efficient and safe project completion.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently across various construction sites
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation, digging, trenching, and material handling as required
- Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance
- Valid commercial driving licence (or equivalent) for transporting equipment if necessary
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols related to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
