Overview
We are seeking a professional PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, providing reliable transportation services across various routes. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s licence and demonstrate strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
Duties
- Safely operate PCV vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
- Assist passengers in boarding and alighting, providing courteous and professional service at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and passenger details as required.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers, providing updates on schedules or delays.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout the shift.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure passenger and personal safety.
Experience
- Experience preferred but training will be given.
- Valid PCV, CPC and Digital Tachocard.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in driving various types of vehicles, including minbuses & buses, is highly desirable.
Pay: £16.50 per hour
