Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting.
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and engagement in activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
- Collaborate with other staff members to manage classroom dynamics and provide leadership when necessary.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 in Early years or Childcare is preferable although if applicant does not have Kids Academy will support staff to gain the qualification.
- Qualification in Childcare must be commenced within 1 year of employment as it is an essential requirement.
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- A background in leading groups of children is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development is crucial.
