Job Summary

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting laboratory operations, ensuring accurate testing, maintaining data integrity, and upholding quality standards in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. You will work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable exposure to analytical testing, laboratory systems, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and analyses in accordance with established methods, procedures, and quality standards.
- Prepare samples for analysis, record observations, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Enter, manage, and verify testing data using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Review and analyse test results and upload data for report generation.
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and performance checks of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure the integrity and traceability of samples throughout the testing process.
- Support quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain laboratory compliance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised laboratory environment in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory practices.
Requirements
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in analytical testing or chemistry-related fields.
- Experience in Marine Fuel Oil Testing will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety practices and quality systems.
- Experience using LIMS or other laboratory databases is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications in science or related fields are preferred but not essential; relevant laboratory experience is highly valued.
