We’re looking for a confident, people focused leader to join us as the Senior Leader for our Hazell Nevill Dementia Day Care service; a role supporting older people living with dementia and ensuring they enjoy a safe, stimulating and high‑quality day every time they walk through our doors.
About the Role
As our Senior Leader, you’ll work closely with the Head of Client Services to oversee the daily running of the centre, ensuring excellent care, smooth operations, and a warm, welcoming environment for clients, staff and volunteers. You’ll also play a key role in promoting our services locally and helping us grow our client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting staff and volunteers, ensuring strong communication and high standards.
- Overseeing daily operations, transport arrangements, attendance records and invoicing accuracy.
- Planning engaging activities, themed days and events, and developing new sessions that can be marketed to the community.
- Carrying out client assessments, maintaining accurate care plans and auditing records.
- Managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring Health & Safety standards are met across the centre and vehicles.
- Supporting marketing, fundraising and community engagement activities.
- Deputising for the Head of Client Services or Bradbury Wellbeing Senior when required.
- Supporting recruitment, supervision, appraisals and staff training.
What We’re Looking For

- Experience working in the care sector.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
- A warm, flexible and proactive approach.
- Confidence in planning activities and creating a fun, stimulating environment for older people.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding, basic food hygiene and Health & Safety.
- A methodical approach and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
- A willingness to learn, develop and uphold Age UK HBW values.
A reliable car is essential for this role (mileage paid at 45p per mile). Training, including NVQ Level 4/5 and HR development, will be supported.

Core hours: 08:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday
5 days per week, with occasional evening/weekend work and
