We are looking for a confident, highly organised, and experienced HMRC & Legal Documentation Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience dealing directly with HM Revenue & Customs, handling all HMRC correspondence, legal paperwork, compliance matters, and official documentation.
This role requires someone who is confident speaking with HMRC representatives, understands legal and financial paperwork, and can manage sensitive documents accurately and professionally.
Punjabi and/or Hindi language skills are highly desirable to support communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to all HMRC letters, notices, and official correspondence
- Handle tax-related paperwork, compliance documents, and legal forms
- Liaise directly with HMRC regarding queries, disputes, payments, and investigations
- Prepare, review, organise, and maintain confidential client files and legal documents
- Ensure deadlines for submissions, appeals, and compliance requirements are met
- Assist with legal administrative work, documentation, and case management
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems
- Communicate professionally with clients, solicitors, accountants, and government departments
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience dealing with HMRC and HMRC procedures
- Strong understanding of legal paperwork, compliance, and documentation
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Punjabi and/or Hindi speaking preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident handling sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Background in legal administration, taxation, compliance, or accounting
- Experience handling investigations, appeals, or disputes with HMRC
- Administrative experience in legal, financial, or regulated industries

Pay: £24,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
