Accounts Semi Senior

Clark Wood is working with a well-established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Semi Senior to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Semi Senior with UK accountancy practice experience to work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, gaining exposure to accounts, tax and advisory services within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Assisting with corporation tax computations and tax returns
- Preparing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
- Supporting management accounts preparation
- Liaising directly with clients and handling day-to-day queries
- Working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality client assignments
- Supporting junior team members where required
Skills & Experience
- AAT qualified, studying ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- At least 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Knowledge of cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Keen to continue developing your career within practice
