Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Dog Groomer to join our vibrant pet care team! In this dynamic role, you will lead grooming sessions, ensuring each dog receives personalized, high-quality care that enhances their health and appearance. As a senior team member, you will also mentor junior groomers, uphold safety standards, and contribute to a welcoming environment where every pet feels loved and cared for.
Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing for dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Assess each dog’s coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming techniques accordingly
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process by following best practices and handling animals with compassion
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to sanitation protocols to prevent the spread of infections
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Mentor junior groomers by sharing expertise, offering guidance on techniques, and supporting their professional growth
- Assist with inventory management by tracking grooming supplies and placing orders when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of completed grooming styles
- Veterinary experience or background in animal care is highly desirable to better understand pet health needs
- Demonstrated ability to handle dogs safely and confidently, especially those with special behavioral or health considerations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed grooming tasks effectively

Pay: begins at £24,000- £36,000 per annum but open to growth potential.
