What You'll Be Doing

Support learners with SEND to access learning across a range of vocational subjects, including both theory and practical sessions

Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learner needs

Help learners develop confidence, independence, communication and employability skills

Reinforce learning by adapting resources and providing additional support where required, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures.

Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage learners to achieve their full potential

Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment

Adapt to timetable changes and provide support across different curriculum areas as required
What We're Looking For

A caring, patient and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND
-
Experience working with learners with additional needs is desirable, but not essential

Confidence supporting learners with both written/theory-based work and practical activities
-
Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills

A flexible approach, positive attitude and willingness to learn
-
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although full training and development will be provided for the right candidate
