Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Bank Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support across various healthcare and criminal justice settings, including supported living, and home care environments. This flexible role offers the opportunity to support individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring specialised dementia , Alzheimer's care and or working with people on probation who require various support such as assistance with securing accommodation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to the people we support's well-being, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different support environments. All positions are paid, ensuring fair remuneration for your valuable contribution.

Duties
- Assist with daily personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed support plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and well-being
- Assist with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Assisting with mainitaining a property organising appointments
- Maintain accurate documentation of people we support support activities and observations
- Provide emotional support and companionship to people we support, fostering a respectful and caring environment
- Support with medical procedures under supervision, utilising relevant medical terminology as needed
- Drive people we support safely to appointments or outings when required
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, probation and case managers to ensure comprehensive people we support care
- good understanding of the criminal justice system and the importance of assisting to reduce reoffending
Skills
- Previous experience in home care and supported living settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's techniques
- First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanour
- Ability to manage behaviour effectively and implement behaviour management strategies
- Familiarity with support plans and case management processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility tasks
- Ability to preform deep and light cleaning tasks
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and care and support principles
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting people we support safely
- Organised approach to documentation and adherence to health & safety standards
