Bayou Spa is a design-led, award-winning holistic wellness spa in the heart of Kensington. We’re known for offering transformative treatments in a calm, sensory space—and we’re looking for a Spa Assistant Manager to lead our growing team.
This role is ideal for a working manager—someone confident managing people, operations, and standards, while also delivering treatments (facials, massage, or beauty treatments) when required. You will be central to building a harmonious, efficient, and high-performance environment.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily operations and uphold our service protocols and ethos
- Manage and support reception and therapy staff, ensuring top-level guest experience
- Support in recruitment, onboarding, and team training
- Manage rotas, KPIs, inventory, and cleanliness & hygiene standards
- Track and control stock and facility equipments
- Deliver occasional treatments during peak hours or as needed
- Handle customer feedback with professionalism and discretion
- Lead internal meetings and team reviews
- Support with events, workshops, and brand activations
You’ll Also Be Responsible For
- Front-of-house supervision and bookings oversight
- Enforcing and evolving our SOPs and staff handbook
- Ensuring compliance with all health, hygiene, and employment standards
You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:
- Warm, highly organised, and passionate about wellness
- Experienced in spa operations (2+ years in a senior or management role preferred)
- A qualified therapist (NVQ Level 3+) in massage, facials or beauty services
- Tech-literate and confident using spa software and spreadsheets
- Committed to client care, team support, and continuous improvement
- Calm under pressure and a strong communicator
- Open to shaping your role as Bayou Spa grows
