Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Cafe Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of meals and snacks for our customers, from hearty breakfasts to comforting post-skate treats. You will play a key role in maintaining high food safety standards and ensuring that every dish served is fresh, tasty, and made with care. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of cafe menu items, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
- Assist in food assembly, cooking, and plating to deliver fresh, flavorful dishes efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols. Ensure team members apply the same
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all menu offerings
- Serve customers directly, providing friendly and professional assistance with their orders
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
- Cash up the till at the end of the day.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or cafe setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
- Culinary experience that demonstrates proficiency in meal preparation and cooking techniques
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends
