Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to personally drive vehicle sales while taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of our sales department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new customers, building strong relationships and closing deals, rather than sitting behind a desk. You will lead by example, maximise sales opportunities, support our existing Sales Executive, and ensure every customer receives an outstanding buying experience from first enquiry through to vehicle handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personally handle and close the majority of vehicle sales.
- Meet customers and provide an outstanding buying experience.
- Handle telephone, online and customer enquiries.
- Negotiate vehicle sales, finance packages, warranties and part exchanges.
- Maximise profit opportunities on every sale.
- Follow up customer enquiries using our CRM system.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the sales department.
- Lead by example and support our existing Sales Executive through guidance and coaching.
- Maintain accurate customer records using our dealership software.
- Help improve the sales process and contribute ideas to grow the business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven sales experience, preferably within the motor trade.
- A genuine passion for cars.
- Strong sales, negotiation and closing skills.
- Leadership ability with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good computer skills and willingness to learn our CRM system.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and commercially minded.
- Full UK driving licence.
What We Offer:
- £30,000–£35,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
- Performance-related bonus with realistic earnings of £45,000–£60,000+.
- Monday to Friday working (9:30am–6:00pm).
- No Saturday working.
