We are a busy, but friendly and relaxed body shop located in St Helens, ideally we are looking for someone on a full time basis, however please call if you are looking for part time or some extra hours. Rates of pay negotiable depending on age, experience ect.

Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Operate spray guns and other power tools to apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision and consistency
- Mix paints, primers, and solvents accurately according to specifications to achieve the desired color and finish
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, drips, or uneven coverage; perform touch-ups as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Knowledge of automotive painting processes and equipment
- Experience using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and masking tools effectively
- Proficiency with power tools including spray guns, grinders, and air compressors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials
- Prior experience in automotive body shop environments is essential
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving smooth, flawless finishes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
