Head of Estates and Facilities – to start as soon as possible
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Estates & Facilities to provide strategic leadership of our buildings, grounds and facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose for our pupils, staff and wider community.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
To lead and deliver the School's estates and facilities strategy in line with the school's long-term objectives.
To oversee maintenance, cleaning, security, grounds, asset management and statutory compliance across the estate.
To manage and deliver capital projects, working with contractors, consultants and stakeholders from planning through to completion.
To lead sustainability initiatives, energy management and environmental improvement programmes.
To manage the estates budget, procurement processes and supplier contracts to achieve value for money.
To provide strong leadership and development for the estates team and external contractors.
What we are looking for:
Significant experience in estates, facilities or property management, ideally within an educational environment.
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance and risk management.
Proven experience of managing maintenance programmes, contracts, budgets and procurement.
Experience leading and motivating teams.
Excellent organisational, communication and project management skills.
Relevant professional qualification and/or membership of a facilities management body desirable.

Hours of Work: Full time, all year, working 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working
Salary: This role attracts a competitive starting salary in the region of £60,000 per annum
Annual Leave: 30 days per year plus bank holidays
