We are looking for a warm, friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring every visitor feels valued from the moment they arrive.
This is a varied front-of-house role that combines guest interaction, accurate data entry, and occasional bar work during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with professionalism and genuine warmth
- Manage efficient check-ins and check-outs
- Handle reservations, enquiries, and guest communications well and promptly
- Provide clear information about rooms, rates, and hotel amenities
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
- Carry out administrative tasks including answering phones, emails, and processing payments
- Complete accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date booking and guest records
- Assist with bar service when required
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and presentable reception area
- Work collaboratively with the wider hotel team to deliver excellent guest experiences
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational ability with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident written and spoken English
- Good technical and numeracy skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer systems)
- Reliable, discreet, and professional in all interactions
- Strong guest service orientation with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Previous hospitality or reception experience is an advantage
- Good phone etiquette and a calm, friendly manner
