Midland Fish Co. Ltd. are looking to recruit a Factory Operative to join us and help manage our goods in process, general fridge and freezer management, and other ad hoc duties around the factory when needed.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude and good organisation skills to ensure all goods are booked in at the point of delivery with all the required documentation completed each day. You will be responsible for managing stock take, stock rotation, and general cleaning.
We don't have defined roles so you will also be required to help around the factory on any section that requires an extra pair of hands, this can include cleaning, skinning, descaling, boning, grading, or picking and packing.
Experience in a fish processing factory or similar would be great but is not a key requirement of the role as we can train people to do any task required. Below are a few other skills that would be nice to see;
- Can do attitude - Someone that takes pride in their work with a drive to improve themselves, and a willingness to help the business as and when required.
- Forklift / Counter Balance License (we can renew if expired).
- Full UK Drivers License - Nice to have but not a key requirement for the role.
- Basic training in food safety and/or hygiene nice to have but again we can provide this if not.
- Prior experience working in a factory environment.
- Able to work in a physical, manual labour environment.
Tenure: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 35 hour per week plus overtime (5-10 hours per week)
Shift Pattern: 4am - 12pm Monday to Friday (overtime Saturday also available)
Location: Port of Fleetwood, FY7 6NN
