An independent Italian restaurant in the heart of Cleckheaton is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and energetic Floor Staff to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a lively dining environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the catering and hospitality industry, with a focus on food service, beverage preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety. Flexibility to work various shifts is preferred, and prior experience in restaurant settings is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism and friendliness
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organised environment
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, adhering to food safety standards
- Replenish supplies and ensure the dining area remains tidy and inviting throughout service
- Handle customer queries courteously, resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support baristas with drink preparation during busy periods, ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality environments is desirable
- Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant setting will be considered an advantage
- Barista experience or familiarity with coffee making processes is beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and standards is highly valued
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude is essential
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service is crucial
