We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products to customers, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during deliveries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with strong knowledge of commercial driving practices.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; appropriate category licence (e.g., <PERSON> driver) preferred.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organised, punctual, and able to manage time effectively across multiple deliveries.
