Job Description:
Brilliant Bikes is looking for a skilled, hands-on experienced Bicycle mechanic to join our busy workshop in Sunningdale.
We aren’t just a bike shop; we’re an independent Brompton folding bike specialist and our workshop is the heart of it all.
We also deal with everything from kids bikes to high-end carbon road bikes and muddy MTBs to the latest e-bikes - we are dealers for Brompton, Marin and Yeti.
The Role
You’ll be our go-to expert for keeping the riders of Sunningdale spinning. This isn’t just about the basics—we need a seasoned pro who is comfortable with high-spec builds and complex technical diagnostics on all types of bikes
- Servicing and Repairs: From basic safety checks and puncture repairs to complete strip-downs and rebuilds
- Technical: Hydraulic brake bleeds, suspension setup, and electronic AXS/ Di2 setups
- E-Bikes: Troubleshooting and updating (primarily) Brompton and other legal e-Bike systems
- Quality: Ensuring every bike that leaves the stand meets our high standards for safety and performance
- Customer Interaction: Chatting with customers about their pride and joy, offering honest advice, and explaining technical repairs - without the jargon
What We’re Looking For
We need a pro who can hit the ground running to add to our team. While we love enthusiasm, significant workshop experience is a must for this role
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a professional bicycle workshop environment
- Certifications: Cytech Level 2 or 3 is highly preferred (but your proven track record counts for a lot)
- Problem Solver: You don’t get flustered by a slipping seat post or a mystery creak
- Team Player: We’re a relatively small tem; we need someone who works hard, shares the load, and enjoys the occasional shop floor banter
- Passion: You like bikes. You ride them. You understand why they matter to our customers and us
Why Cycle Addicts?
- Competitive Salary: Based on your experience and “skill” levels
- The Gear: Work with and look after professional-grade tools in a well-equipped, busy environment
- Staff Perks: Generous discounts on bikes, parts, and accessories
- Local Vibes: Join a respected business with a loyal and worldwide customer base
