Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the organisation of the floral shop. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your artistic flair in a vibrant retail environment. The successful applicant will be organised, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties
- Designing and arranging floral displays tailored to customer specifications and seasonal themes
- Assisting customers in selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and arrangements
- Managing stock levels, including ordering flowers and supplies, and ensuring proper storage to maintain freshness
- Organising the shop floor for optimal merchandising presentation to attract customers
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including tools and flower displays
- Engaging with customers courteously, demonstrating strong communication skills
- Must have a valid driving licence and willing to drive small manual van fro deliveries as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Florist in a retail role is essential
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for flowers and creative floral design
