We're looking for an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to join our growing logistics team. If you're passionate about international shipping, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll manage ocean export shipments from start to finish, working closely with customers, carriers, and overseas partners to ensure every shipment is handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with PSA BDP's ethical standards and operating procedures.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver outstanding customer service by building strong relationships and responding promptly to customer enquiries.
- Coordinate and manage both FCL and LCL ocean export shipments from booking through to final departure.
- Prepare and process all export documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
- Ensure all documentation meets customer, carrier, customs, and regulatory requirements.
- Submit Verified Gross Mass (VGM) through CNS and Destin8.
- Prepare complete export documentation and issue pre-alerts within agreed KPI timeframes.
- Ensure compliance with export control regulations, including AMS, ACI, and ISF requirements.
- Send EDI bookings and Shipping Instructions to carriers.
- Prepare FCL and LCL quotations as required.
- Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Resolve shipment issues relating to documentation, cargo readiness, delays, or carrier disputes.
- Complete non-conformance reporting in line with company KPIs.
- Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance policies.
- Support month-end financial processes, including accruals and sales invoicing.
- Follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring updates are made when required.
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years' experience in ocean export freight forwarding or international logistics.
- Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping regulations, and forwarding operations.
- Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments from start to finish.
- A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and freight forwarding software.
- A professional qualification in logistics or freight forwarding is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
