New Mill Pharmacy is an independent community Pharmacy dedicated to providing excellent patient care and a friendly, professional service to our local community.
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the dispensary and delivering excellent service to our patients.
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Support inventory management by stock checking, ordering, and organising pharmaceutical supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of medicines and equipment
- Support medication administration procedures where applicable, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient pharmacy environment
- Support services offered by the Pharmacy
Requirements
- Have previous experience working in a community pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care principles
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards of practice
- Be reliable and organised
A recognised dispensing qualification is desirable but we welcome applications from candidates with relevant pharmacy experience.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
