Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our team at Hilton Belfast. This role involves engaging with clients to promote and secure bookings for conferences, meetings, and special events across our venue. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of hospitality and event management, and the ability to upsell services to maximise revenue. Duties
- · To provide a seamless customer experience through effective use of systems while using information and tools appropriately.
· To ensure all reservations, meetings, conference and events enquiries are dealt with in line with the hotel’s selling strategy and in accordance with company and brand standards (including effective handling of enquiries by phone, email, RFP system, creation of effective proposals, maintaining reservations and events inboxes). Identify sales leads.
· To ensure all group, meetings, conference and events enquiries are chased in a timely manner and all stages of the booking are being managed in accordance with company standards.
· To build relationship with all key operators.
· To be fully conversant with all facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotels and use this information to maximise hotel sales.
· To ensure all revenue is tracked accurately and timely.
· Complete detailed audit and maintenance on their Hotel OnQPM, OnQR&I, Ideas Groups Pricing and DelphiFDC (include upkeep of DelphiFDC as CRM, upkeep, audit and maintenance of DelphiFDC (pricing, packages, products), ONQ PMS (SRP Maintenance and package))
To promote the image of the hotel and the Company by the provision of quality customer care standards both internally and externally
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, within hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour
- Demonstrated ability in upselling additional services to maximise revenue streams
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in fundraising or guest services is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence principles
- A proactive approach with strong interpersonal skills capable of building lasting client relationships
