We are seeking a motivated and reliable 7.5-tonne (7.5t) Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 7.5t vehicle to deliver goods efficiently and on time to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your attention to safety and customer service, will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our delivery network, supporting our commitment to excellence and timely service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5t vehicle for local or regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload goods using appropriate techniques, including flatbed transportation if required
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and report any issues promptly
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers professionally to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery confirmations
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed or similar vehicles
- Demonstrated ability to handle delivery routes efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Manual handling skills as heavy lifting required
