Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fettler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working in a dynamic foundry environment, specialising in steel casting processes. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various hand tools and machinery safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within a specialised industrial setting.
Duties
- Dressing castings using a selection of mechanical grinding and polishing tools.
- Moving casting around the shop using electric overhead cranes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations, including wearing appropriate PPE
- Assist with quality checks by inspecting castings for defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and productivity
Qualifications
- Previous experience n fabrication, grinding or mechanical work is advantageous
- Knowledge relevant to foundry operations is desirable
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team with good communication skills
This role is suitable for individuals eager to develop their expertise within a specialised manufacturing environment. All positions are paid based on experience and skills.
