The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brakes to manufacture high-quality sheet metal components in line with engineering drawings and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each job.
- Produce components to required tolerances and quality standards.
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspections.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and daily checks.
- Work closely with the fabrication team to meet production schedules.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC press brakes is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience with Amada, or similar press brake systems would be advantageous.
