We are looking for a Bistro server, to work with our team in our hotel Bistro. They would work closely with other Bistro colleagues to take and deliver orders to our guests. You’ll be the face of our restaurant or bar, and responsible for our customers’ experiences and elevating standards. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you.
This role involves working mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Experience in hospitality and the ability to start immediately, would be an advantage.
Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Ensure standards are maintained in accordance with company policy
- Work closely with the Bistro Manager to ensure standards are being maintained
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Attend and assist at functions and events as required
Typical hours:
A breakfast shift would usually start at 0630 weekdays or 0730 weekends.
An evening shift would usually start at either 1700 or 1800.
Please be aware that this role involves working shifts of mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The role starts as a casual one on a probationary basis, with the advertised rate of pay including a 12.07% holiday allowance. The advertised rate of pay is the national minimum wage for someone aged 21+. People under this age would have their pay set in accordance with the applicant's age bracket for the national minimum wage.
