About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Workshop Assistant / Trainee Bead Blaster to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical workshop skills and receive full training in bead blasting and component preparation.
No previous bead blasting experience is required, as full training will be provided. We are seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Bead blasting and cleaning a variety of metal components.
- Preparing parts for finishing processes.
- Tapping and countersinking components to specification.
- Packing completed work safely and securely for dispatch.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and deliveries.
- Operating a forklift truck (full training provided).
- Assisting technicians with general workshop activities.
- Conducting quality checks on completed work.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
- Previous workshop, manufacturing, engineering, or warehouse experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
