Overview
Urban Environments is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer with Vue.js expertise to lead the modernisation of our established Risk & Compliance platform.
As a leading UK consultancy specialising in water hygiene and Legionella compliance, we help organisations manage risk through technology-driven solutions. This is a key permanent role within our engineering team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of frontend architecture and play a major part in the next phase of our platform's evolution.
Working from high-fidelity Figma designs, you will build scalable, high-performance interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience. A particular focus of the role is creating rich, data-intensive dashboards that turn complex information into clear, actionable insights for customers.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, making technical decisions, and shaping the future of a mature enterprise product.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Expert Vue.js Development: Deep, hands-on experience with Vue 3, Composition API, and state management (Pinia / Vuex).
- Component Frameworks: Commercial experience building responsive, accessible UI layouts using Vuetify (or equivalent modern component libraries).
- Data Visualisation & Charting: Proven track record integrating and optimising data visualisation tools (e.g., ECharts / vue-echarts, Chart.js, ApexCharts, or D3.js).
- Performance Optimisation: Experience handling large, complex datasets in the frontend without compromising performance.
- Core Frontend Stack: Strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern async workflows (REST APIs).
- Tooling & Version Control: Solid experience with Git and Node.js-based environments.
- Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work closely with Product and UX teams, translating requirements into scalable solutions.
Desirable
- Exposure to high-performance backend environments (e.g., RESTful services, microservices architecture).
- Familiarity with reverse proxy solutions such as YARP (Yet Another Reverse Proxy).
- Experience working with Figma design systems and structured design-to-code workflows.
- Flutter/Dart mobile application development experience.
- ASP.NET/C# experience.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
