We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to run our on-site coffee shop. You will be the heart of our Coffee Shop, responsible for crafting exceptional coffees, serving delicious pastries and light bites, and creating a warm, welcoming environment. This is a brilliant role for someone who takes genuine pride in every cup they pour and loves interacting with people.
Key Responsibilities
- Coffee Crafting: Grind coffee beans and operate commercial espresso machinery to prepare a wide range of hot and cold specialty drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, iced coffees).
- Counter Service: Welcome guests, take orders, and serve light meals, cakes, afternoon treats, and seasonal snacks.
- Shop Upkeep: Maintain absolute cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee bar, seating area, machinery, and utensils throughout the shift.
- Stock & Merchandising: Monitor inventory levels of milk, beans, syrups, and fresh food, and ensure cake displays look beautifully presented.
- Till Operations: Handle cash and card payments accurately using our digital electronic point of sale (EPOS) system.
About You
- Barista Skills: Previous experience working as a Barista, with a strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and machine maintenance (the ability to deliver latte art is a bonus!).
- Personality: Vibrant, positive, and naturally friendly with excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Pace: Able to work efficiently and keep a cool head during busy coffee rushes or weekend peak times.
- Reliability: Trustworthy, punctual, and highly organized with a keen eye for cleanliness and presentation.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
