Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support clients in meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being
- Follow detailed care plans created by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent and personalized care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including progress notes and incident reports
- Use IT tools to update client records and communicate effectively with team members
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home care or working within a care home environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to operate IT devices such as tablets or computers for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation of clients
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adhere to safety protocols
