Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our small female led team.
Busy city centre family owned Italian Restaurant
Looking for a chef with preferable experience in Italian food but training will be given.
Part time position for eveing service 3pm-9pm wed-sat plus any holiday cover required
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety procedures, including hygiene practices and allergen management
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and menu offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to enhance customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant setting, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential
- Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent professional training are preferred

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
