Overview
We are now looking for a Warehouse Operative/Driver to join our team in the Chelmsford Branch who are passionate about delivering great customer service. This role is responsible for making deliveries & collections to our customers, picking & packing orders and providing general support within our Chelmsford branch. If you have strong customer service skills, experience in driving and warehouse operations then this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving: Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner, ensuring customers receive their orders in excellent condition every time. Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the branch and routes are managed effectively to ensure premium or timed deliveries are achieved.
- Customer Collections: Ensure collections are made in line with given instructions and times.
- Warehouse Operations: Correctly and accurately picking all customer orders, receiving deliveries and confirming against supplier documentation, restocking stores with incoming goods, ensuring all stock is correctly labelled and located at all times, and the general stock control and organisation of the warehouse.
- Customer service: Providing an excellent level of customer service at all times, including when driving, delivering or working within the branch, dealing with any customer issues in a polite and effective manner.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
- Clean licence
- Minimum of three years’ experience driving professionally.
- Experience working within a multi-branch trade counter business, ideally within the electrical wholesale or security distribution industry.
- Experience working within a warehouse and with warehouse administration.
- Physically fit and able to lift 25kg comfortably.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.
