We are recruiting for a all-through specialist school near Rutland, supporting pupils aged 5-19 with SEMH needs, ASC, and associated learning needs.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically, emotionally and socially.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH and ASC needs.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced challenges in previous educational settings.
- Supporting learning through engaging activities tailored to individual needs.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Supporting behaviour regulation using a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.
- Celebrating progress, achievements and the small steps that make a big difference.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient and resilient.
- Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
- A strong communicator who can build meaningful relationships.
- Able to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
- Experienced in SEN, SEMH, ASC, behaviour support, care or youth work (desirable but not essential).
- Keen to learn, develop and grow within specialist education.
