Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products and packages to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Load and unload items with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring all goods are secured properly for transit
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for all trips and deliveries
- Assist in warehouse activities when not on the road, including inventory management and stock movement
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, with a strong focus on safety and punctuality
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred but not required
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or trucks of various sizes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling and logistics processes
- Knowledge of local traffic laws, navigation tools, and route planning software
