Location: Slough Office
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Legal Librarian to join our team at our Slough office. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong legal background and a thorough understanding of legal research, case law, legislation, and legal citation.
The successful candidate will provide essential support to our barristers and legal team by managing legal resources, conducting legal research, and ensuring the accuracy of legal authorities relied upon in matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the firm's legal library and research resources.
- Conduct legal research using a variety of legal databases and reference materials.
- Verify and update legislation, case law, and legal authorities.
- Check and validate legal citations and references in court documents, pleadings, and submissions.
- Assist barristers and legal practitioners with legal research requests.
- Source and retrieve legal materials, judgments, statutes, and commentary.
- Monitor developments in legislation and case law and communicate relevant updates.
- Organise and maintain electronic and physical legal resources.
- Support the legal team with administrative and research-related tasks as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a legal library or legal research environment.
- Strong legal background with a sound understanding of:
- Case law
- Legislation
- Legal research methodologies
- Legal citation systems
- Experience verifying legal authorities and references.
- Ability to assist barristers and legal professionals with complex research requests.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal research databases.
- Experience working within a barristers' chambers, law firm, or legal department.
- Familiarity with leading legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or Practical Law.
Desirable
- Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
