Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a busy cardboard packaging company in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with manufacturing or machine operating experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery, ensuring product quality, and helping maintain smooth production throughout the shift.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring cardboard packaging machinery
- Setting up machines for production runs
- Feeding materials into machines safely and efficiently
- Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
- Packing and stacking products ready for dispatch
- Carrying out basic machine adjustments where required
- Reporting faults or breakdowns to supervisors/maintenance
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit due to manual handling duties
