About the role
Balfour Beatty’s Regional Civils North West team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager who is looking to take ownership of complex projects, lead high-performing teams and work with a business at the forefront of UK infrastructure delivery.
You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, designers, subcontractors and our internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to the highest standards.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong leadership, excellent project management skills and a proven track record of delivering civil engineering projects.
What you'll be doing
As a project Manager you will:
- Lead the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, resources, quality and performance.
- Provide strong leadership to project and site teams.
- Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with Balfour Beatty standards.
- Manage commercial performance and identifying opportunities and risks.
- Drive a collaborative approach across design, commercial, engineering and construction teams.
- Support the development of people and creating a positive project culture.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- A BSc/HND in Civil Engineering
- Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements within the construction industry.
- Experience working collaboratively with clients, consultants, designers and other key stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to identify and manage project risks and opportunities effectively.
