Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am – 16:30pm / Friday, 8am - 1pm
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Join a growing manufacturing business as a Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator, leading Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across the site. You’ll drive continuous improvement, manage ISO management systems, champion a positive safety culture, and work closely with operational teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance and workplace safety are maintained.
Applications are welcomed from experienced QHSE Managers, SHEQ Managers, Health and Safety Managers, HSE Managers, Quality Managers, Compliance Managers and Environmental Managers with experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and and a NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator:
- Take full ownership of the Company's Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental (QHSE) function.
- Develop and implement the QHSE strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Design, implement and continuously improve QHSE management systems, policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations and best practice.
- Lead the development of a positive QHSE culture through visible leadership, coaching and employee engagement.
- Embed management accountability for QHSE, ensuring managers take ownership of compliance and safe working practices within their areas of responsibility.
- Lead accident, incident and near miss investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments, driving improvements in compliance and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Manage contractor safety, permit to work systems and emergency preparedness arrangements.
- Develop and deliver QHSE inductions, training programmes and toolbox talks to build competence across the business.
- Support, maintain and continuously improve the Company's ISO management systems.
- Develop, monitor and report on meaningful QHSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing analysis, recommendations and continual improvement plans to the leadership team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience leading QHSE within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable experience improving safety culture and implementing management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Strong investigation, auditing and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma or General Certificate.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
