Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our night shift team.
Restgarth is now under new management and we are looking to expand our skilled team team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents living in our care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively while maintaining a high standard of care. Full training and support will be given with a focussed induction.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and support with meals.
- To provide support at night to promote sleep.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive care approach.
- Follow care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to care provided.
- Utilise IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong command of the English language for effective communication.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
