Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Saturday Delivery Driver/Packer who enjoys early mornings. Starting time is 4am and involves delivering goods to customers and our shops while also assisting with packing orders. The ideal candidate will have previous delivery driver experience, possess strong organisational skills, and be committed to providing excellent service.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations on Saturdays.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are packed securely for transit.
- Assist with picking orders which includes lifting.
- Ensure timely deliveries by adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
- Complete relevant documentation accurately, including delivery logs and packing lists.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving licences.
- Valid driver licence or equivalent.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
- Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and packing tasks.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles. This role is ideal for someone organised, physically fit, and committed to delivering excellent service.
