HICA is looking for an experienced and proactive People Advisor to join our established HR team and play a key role in supporting our services across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Pay & Hours
- 37 hours per week
- Up to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Monday to Friday
- Office based with occasional travel to visit services (valid UK driving licence is essential)
About the Role
You will provide professional HR advice and support across a diverse range of people matters, including:
- Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance matters.
- Coaching and supporting managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
- Providing advice on employment legislation, HR policies and best practice.
- Supporting recruitment campaigns and onboarding activity across a range of services.
- Identifying trends and root causes of recurring people issues and supporting solutions.
- Contributing to HR projects, organisational change initiatives and service improvements.
- Supporting policy development and continuous improvement of HR processes.

About You
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer or similar generalist HR role.
- Is confident handling complex casework.
- Understands UK employment law.
- Builds effective working relationship.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is organised, proactive and solutions focused.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
- CIPD qualification or working towards qualification would be advantageous, but relevant experience and capability are equally important.
