Willows Group Ltd operates a group of GP practices in Leicester, providing essential healthcare services to our local community. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our dedicated finance team. This is a part time job (20 hours per week), offering £13.50 per hour.
The Role
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support our finance operations across the practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in healthcare finance. You'll work closely with our Finance Controller and Finance Assistant, while being part of a wider team that includes our Finance Partner and Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Management
· Oversee and manage the Lightyear invoice approval platform, ensuring regular updates and effective utilization for accounting and finance tasks
· Handle Pleo expense management system, ensuring all expenses are properly recorded with complete supporting documentation
· Process expense payments in accordance with company procedures
Accounts Administration
· Monitor and manage the Willows Group accounts email inbox
· Review incoming correspondence, respond to queries, and take appropriate action
· Follow up on invoices, payments, and other finance-related matters in a timely manner
Payment Processing
· Handle regular bill payments, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time
· Liaise with external vendors and suppliers as required
· Ensure all payments align with the company's financial records and authorization procedures
Management Reporting Support
· Assist in preparing monthly board presentation documents
· Download and compile reports from various financial systems
· Tailor documents to meet board requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desirable
· Experience with Lightyear, Pleo, or similar financial management platforms
· Previous experience in healthcare or general practice finance
